Due to the heavy snow, part of the roof at the central entrance of the terminal was damaged.

A partial collapse of the roof canopy occurred, but no casualties were reported. Restoration work has already begun.

Batumi Airport has now been operating with restrictions due to the severe weather for four days, with flights being diverted to Kutaisi.
