Sochi vice-mayor charged with corruption

Russian investigators have asked the Basmanny District Court of Moscow to detain vice-mayor of Sochi Sergey Yurin as part of a bribery case, the press-service of the court said.

The official is charged with taking bribes on an especially large scale, RAPSI reported.

Other defendants in the case are deputy head of the Sochi city administration’s department of economy Alexander Ivanov; deputy rector of Rosgonki scientific center Anatoly Rykov; head of Legis Imperium company Andrey Leventchuk; entrepreneur and alleged bribe-giver Igor Stroganov; lawyers Alexey Litvinov and Nikolay Grebenyuk.
