President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rosen Plevneliev, praised the partnership and friendly relations with Azerbaijan at the meeting with the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Bulgaria, Emil Karimov, the press center of the Bulgarian President reported.
"We hope for soonest possible implementation of the Bulgarian-Azerbaijani agreement on the purchase of natural gas and the construction of corresponding infrastructure," - Plevneliev said, reminding that last year, the parties signed a joint declaration of strategic partnership, which marked the beginning of a new stage of bilateral cooperation.
Bulgarian President also pointed out that Azerbaijan is a strategic partner in Bulgaria's efforts to achieve energy diversification and competitiveness of prices for energy resources, abc.az reports.
