Soldier killed in armed PKK attack in Turkey

Militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) have attacked the Turkish army in Hakkari province in southeastern Turkey. One soldier was killed and two were slightly injured and were taken to hospital, the General Staff of Turkey said.

Two F-16 fighters were sent to the area of the collision to carry out air strikes on PKK positions, RIA Novosti reports.
