The development of trade and economic relations between Iran and Russia needs a more solid basis. First of all, it is necessary to develop cooperation in the banking sector, Iranian Vice President Sorena Sattari said in an interview with Kommersant.
He believes that bilateral trade and economic relations should be based on a solid foundation. "We have to lay a more solid base under them," the vice-president of Iran pointed out. "First, the main thing is the development of an interaction of banking systems and opening of credit lines." These steps would be a necessary foundation for the development of trade and economic cooperation between Moscow and Tehran, he added.
As an example of such cooperation, Sattari noted China. "The successful experience of the Chinese, who in recent years have signed several major deals in the Iranian market, would have been impossible without the opening of credit lines," he noted.
