South Ossetia plans to begin construction of the Zonkarskoy hydropower plant on the river Small Liakhva with using of the Zonkarskogo reservoir in the next year, the Prime Minister of South Ossetia, Domenti Kulumbegov, said today.
The presidential decree ‘On the construction of hydro generation on the rivers Small Liakhva and Big Liakhva’ was signed in November this year, appeared not out of nowhere. Earlier calculations were carried out, the issues of the project were studied with the Russian organizations involved in the work. The Decree of the President is a start of the implementation of these solutions, " the news agency Res reports.
