More than 1,500 drills are held annually in the Southern Military District (SMD), which contribute to improving the fighting efficiency of personnel, the commander of the troops of South Ossetia, Alexander Dvornikov said.
He added that the command actively implements the experience of conducting modern combat operations, obtained during the Syrian conflict.
According to Dvornikov, the tactical exercises of motorized rifle and tank units are conducted in cooperation with the army aviation and with the help of drones, Interfax-Yug reports.
