Southern Iran hit by 5.4-magnitude quake

An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 hit southern Iran at night, the seismological network of the Hong Kong Observatory reported.

The epicenter was located 160 km southwest of the city of Bandar Abbas, TASS reports.

There was no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.
