The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II and the Spanish Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister, José García-Margallo y Marfil, discussed Georgia's integration into European structures in Tbilisi.
"We look forward to Georgia’s full integration in Europe, we work together in order to provide Georgia’s territorial integrity as well as its European future. We do our best to provide Georgia with visa-free travel with the EU until this summer," the head of the Spanish Foreign Ministry told the TV channel Rustavi 2.
Ilia II, in his turn, reaffirmed the commitment of the Georgian authorities to join the EU in the near future. "We are doing our best to help Georgia to become a member of the European Union," Sputnik Georgia cited him as saying.
