The first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation, Vyacheslav Lysakov, supported President Vladimir Putin’s bill on the termination of criminal cases after the damages are payed.
The parliamentarian noted that the bill is aimed at liberalization of the criminal legislation.
He also drew attention to the fact that Putin’s initiative corresponds to the current trend of liberalization of legislation. Recently, a number of criminal offenses have been transferred to the category of administrative offenses.
