The historic part of Sheki and its architectural style will be preserved by order of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. According to the corresponding document, Sheki is important for Azerbaijani culture.
In this regard, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the authorities, has been entrusted to work out and submit proposals to the government within two months on the repair, restoration and preservation of historic sites in the city, as well as bringing Sheki into conformity with the architecture and style of the State Historical-Architectural Reserve of Yukhari Bash, Trend reports.
