Stavropol resident sells half-bought vehicle to pawnshop

A resident of Stavropol left his friend without a car and money for it. The victim lost a very large sum, over 9.5 mln rubles. The police found the swindler.

The car buying scam was uncovered by Stavropol police, the details were reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region.

A resident of Stavropol purchased a foreign car that belonged to his 65-year-old friend via installment buying. The friends signed an agreement, so the suspect became the owner of the foreign car.

However, the man, instead of fully paying off his acquaintance, repaid the debt only partially, after which he left for Moscow and disappeared.

The seller went to the police. The found swindler admitted that he had managed to sell the car to a pawnshop. The man has already spent the money he received for the car.
