Steppe Road Rally kicks off in Chechnya

Motor racing amateurs try their hand at the first steppe auto race that started today in Chechnya, the local media report.

The race started in the village of Chervlenaya in the Shelkovsky district of the republic. A route (68 km) was created there for the race and a special road map. For the first time in the republic, the route was made in the steppe area, but this does not exclude the need for a high ground clearance of the participating cars, MK-Stavropol notes.
