US actor and film director Steven Seagal has congratulated Ilham Aliyev on his victory in the April 11 presidential election in Azerbaijan.
“I would like to congratulate you on this auspicious day! You are truly great leader of a great nation," Seagal said in his congratulatory letter.
"I trust in God that we meet again someday soon! Sincerely your humble friend,” APA cited the letter as saying.
The incumbent president, chairman of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Ilham Aliyev garnered 86.03% of votes in the election, which were on April 11.
