NATO will expand its cooperation with Georgia, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated at a joint press conference with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
According to him, the training center which will be opened "is a very important step for the development of cooperation between NATO and Georgia." This cooperation has been continuing for many years, the secretary general of the alliance recalled. "We intend to expand this cooperation, which helps us to make an important contribution to strengthening international security and establishing peace," TASS quoted Stoltenberg as saying.
He described Georgia as "a long-standing and reliable partner," which makes a "significant contribution to the establishment of peace in Afghanistan and the strengthening of international security."
