Another Cold War will benefit neither NATO nor Russia, but the restoration of cooperation will benefit both sides, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.
"A new cold war is profitable for no one. The fact that we are not looking for a confrontation with Russia is important for NATO. We continue to work hard to achieve cooperation. It is in our interest and in the interests of Russia," TASS cited him as saying.
The Secretary General also said that the Ukrainian crisis has negatively affected the credibility of the West in Moscow. Stoltenberg stressed that the only way to resolve the situation in the south-east of the country is to follow the Minsk Agreement.
