NATO Heads of State agreed to extend the mandate of Jens Stoltenberg as Secretary General of NATO during the today's summit. Such a statemnet was published today following the summit's results.
"Today, on March 24, 2022, the leaders of the NATO countries agreed to extend the mandate of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg for a year, until September 30, 2023," Interfax quoted the release.
Stoltenberg was going to leave this post and had already taken the post of the Norwegian Central Bank's head , but resigned without taking office. The changes are related to the situation around Ukraine.
