This morning it was reported from Berlin that police had cordoned off the building of the Federal Chancellery of Germany in connection with the discovery of a suspicious parcel in the office of Angela Merkel.
According to Tass, referring to the Berlin police, no one will enter the building before the situation is resolved. Thus, the first meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Germany in the new year may be thwarted.
It is not known whether Angela Merkel was in the office or not.
