A stray dog has rescued a 19-year-old girl who was knocked down and left to die in the forests of Poltava (Ukraine).
A motorist knocked the girl down as she was on her way to her place of study, and then he left her to die in the forest. The animal warmed the victim with its body until an ambulance arrived.
The Director General of the National Police in the Poltava region, Oleg Beh, told Interfax about the incident.
"The condition of the victim is not specified. We only know that she has serious injuries. The law-enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the accident and identifying the person involved in the incident.
