Strong quake hits Japan

A magnitude-4.7 earthquake hit Gunma Prefecture at about 3:27 p.m. on Sunday, registering a lower 5 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 in Shibukawa, Gunma Prefecture. There was no threat of tsunami as a result of the quake, News.am reported citing The Japan News.

The focus of the quake was located about 20 kilometers underground in the south of the prefecture.
