A leader of the Sunni Islamists, Sheikh Ahmed al-Assir, has been detained in Lebanon, the authorities of the country reported.
Al-Assir was detained at Beirut Airport while trying to leave the country. The leader of the Sunni Islamists is wanted for illegal armed activities, including attacks on the Lebanese army, Gazeta.ru reports.
