In Aktau, surgeons got out two spoon handles from man’s stomach, the media reports.
The handles were 7 and 8 cm long. A 27-year-old patient told doctors that he swallowed them voluntarily.
As explained by the head of the endoscopic surgery department of the Mangistau regional hospital, Talgat Mukantayev, the spoon handles are too large to get them through the mouth. Therefore, it was necessary to perform the operation by laparoscopic method through three punctures with the subsequent restoration of the integrity of the stomach, the regional news agency Lada writes.
