The G20 summit in the Chinese city of Hangzhou has demonstrated that Russia and Turkey managed to restore relations, which were damaged last year - it is confrimed by the nature of contacts between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Russian sherpa at the G20 summit Svetlana Lukash said in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza.
Answering the question about the progress in Russian-Turkish contacts, reached at the summit, she noted that Presidents were constantly in contact with each other at both formal and informal events.
"I watched them throughout the entire summit, President Putin and President Erdogan always sat together, casually talked, exchanged views and remarks in the course of sessions and between sessions of the summit," she said.
She also mentioned that many different topic were discussed during the official talks between Presidents. "According to my colleagues, who were at this meeting, they discussed a wide range of political and economic issues, the talks were very productive and will contribute to further strengthening of cooperation between our countries," she concluded.
She also spoke about the meeting between Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to her, they had "very warm and frank" conversation.
"They discussed many issues of bilateral cooperation. We have a broad agenda, all fields of activity were discussed," Lukash noted.
According to her, Vladimir Putin was one of the most popular world leaders at the summit. There were a lot of people who wanted to greet Russian president or take a photo with him, she added.
