Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven will visit Iran in February, heading a high-ranking economic delegation, according to Swedish Ambassador to Iran Helena Sångeland.
She said the trip is due to the high level of significance Sweden attaches to economic relations with Iran, Trend reported citing Mehr news agency.
The ambassador also said that if the Swedish Trade Council in Iran is opened, it will pave the ground for Swedish businesses to enter Iran.
Sångeland also said that the Swedish government would benefit from a swift end to Iran’s banking problems.
