Syrian President Bashar al-Assad held talks with Russian President's Special Envoy Alexander Lavrentiev on June 26, according to the Syrian presidential press service.
Assad said his country remains open to initiatives regarding its relationship with Türkiye.
The Syrian leader highlighted the importance of respecting Syria's sovereignty and combating terrorism as the basis for any effort to improve Syrian-Turkish relations.
