Syrian President Bashar Assad visited the Russian Aerospace Forces' base Khmeymim in the Syrian province of Latakia, Sputnik reports.
Russian Chief of General Staff Gen. Valery Gerasimov met Assad at the base. A guided tour was organized for the president.
