The Syrian government army with the support of Russian aviation conducted a successful offensive operation, which resulted in the lifting of blockades from two Shiite cities, Nobul and Az-Zahra to the north of Aleppo.
"Advanced units of the army and militia broke through the blockades in Noubel and Az-Zahra. The army is inside the cities. Terrorists, under pressure from assault groups and artillery, fled these cities. However, the outskirts of the cities are still being attacked by mortar shells and homemade rockets," RIA Novosti quotes the source as saying.
