Syrian rebels backed by Turkish armed forces have seized several villages from the Daesh militant group, a rebel official has said, ITV News reported.
The villages, near the town of al-Rei - around a mile from the Turkish border - were taken back as part of a major assault on Daesh forces as Turkey takes an increasingly aggressive stance in the conflict.
Zakaria Malahifji, from the Aleppo-based Fastaqim rebel group told Reuters news agency that "about eight" villages were seized after fighting.
