Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia today attended the launch of the TANAP Phase 1 pipeline, held in Turkish Edirne on the border with Greece.
“You know that from the point of view of energy transportation, this project is the most important, therefore it attaches even greater importance to the transit function of Georgia,” he said, TASS informs.
“We all well understand how important it is that our country serves as a bridge not only in terms of economy, politics and culture but also energy, as the most important challenge for our government is rapid economic growth, new jobs and the country's security,” Giorgi Gakharia emphasized.
