The Trans Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) will be ready by mid-2018, TANAP CEO Hussein Salty Duzyol said at the Caspian conference of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
"We’ll be able to receive technical gas from Azerbaijan in June 2018 for testing the pipe. TANAP will be built by this time to Turkey’s Eskisehir. In the future we’ll pump commercial Azerbaijani gas," abc.az cited him as saying.
"Capital expenditure on the TANAP construction are estimated at $9.5 billion in the light of low global oil prices," Duzyol said.
TANAP, with a length of 1850 km, is going to run through 20 provinces of Turkey, 67 districts and 600 villages.
