TAP gas pipeline 92% completed

The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), which envisages transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe, is now 92% complete, according to the TAP AG consortium.

It was noted that every day hundreds of meters of TAP’s Right of Way are cleared, strung, welded, lowered into the trenches and backfilled, in line with the project construction steps and schedule.

"At the end of January 2020, the TAP project was 92% completed," the consortium said.

TAP project, worth 4.5 billion euros, is the final leg of the Southern Gas Corridor.
