The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), which envisages transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe, could generate 238 million euros worth net profit, Trend reports citing its source.
"According to one of the consortium’s partners, the pipeline could bring net profit of 238 million euros after the first year of operation," the report says.
Source also confirmed that construction of the pipeline will be completed in 2020.
The TAP project that costs 4.5 billion euro is part of the Southern Gas Corridor. Its initial capacity will reach 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Its length will be 878 km, and it will pass through the territory of Greece, Albania and Italy.
