TAV Airports-led consortium in talks to acquire Almaty airport

A consortium led by TAV Airports (in which Groupe ADP is 46.12% shareholder) and VPE Capital has entered discussions to acquire Almaty International Airport in Kazakhstan.

TAV Airports and ADP said that a deal could be agreed within “coming weeks or months”.

“This operation fits into Groupe ADP and TAV Airports’ development strategy in Central Asia," the statement from ADP says.

"Almaty is the biggest airport in Central Asia, handling around 6 million passengers in 2018, half of which were on international routes. This operation fits into Groupe ADP and TAV Airports' development strategy in Central Asia," the consortium added.

Almaty International Airport JSC is 100% owned by Venus Airport Investments B.V., a company registered in Amsterdam.
