THAAD Anti-Missile System 'in place' in Israel

The U.S. Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-ballistic missile system has become operational in Israel, Israeli state broadcaster KAN reported on Sunday evening, citing two Israeli sources.

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the U.S. military has rushed its advanced anti-missile system to Israel and it is now "in place".

"The THAAD system is in place," Austin said.
