A meeting of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts was held yesterday in Moscow. Issues of the current activities of the Academy were discussed there.
The vice-president of the Russian Academy of Arts, People's Artist of the USSR Tahir Salahov, received the Efrem Zverkov award, the website of the Academy announced.
Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, the sculptor Akif Askerov became a honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts.
