An accident with a sulphuric acid leakage took place at a railway station in Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reorts.

The emergency happened in the Jetisu region. The cause of the leakage has already been established: an emergency valve of the tank containing the hazardous substance appeared to be broken.

In total, residents of 46 houses were evacuated from the scene. Currently, there is no threat to the population.

Rescuers have already cooled the railway tank.
