Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan plan to launch daily flights between the two capitals. It is also is expected to launch a rail connection between Almaty and Tashkent.
These issues were on the agenda of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on Economic Cooperation. "Uzbekistan is interested in the transit potential of the Aktau port, it will contribute to the promotion of our products on the European and Mediterranean markets," the first deputy prime minister of Uzbekistan, Achilbay Ramatov, said.
