A free-style wrestler from Azerbaijan, Tatyana Omelchenko who won the gold medal of Islamic Games, in an interview with a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, noted that these are the first competitions of this level in her sports career.
”The victory at the Games brought me inexpressible emotions, I'm very glad that I won the gold medal," the champion said.
"Both these competitions and highest award are extremely important for us," she said, stressing that the Games are held at the highest level.
"At the same time, I was very worried, afraid to let down the fans. Now I'm grateful for their support," the medalist said.
