The Georgian government intends to impose a tax on car ownership for the families with an annual income of over 40 thousand lari (about $ 15.6 thousand), it will be charged starting from the next year, the media report.
The amount of tax will depend on the year of manufacture of the vehicle. For the new cars produced less than a year ago, the car owners will have to pay 500 lari (over $ 195). The tax on the cars produced during the five-year period will be equal to 240 lari (about $ 94), 5-10 years - 120 lari (about $ 47), more than ten years - 60 lari (more than $ 23 dollars).
