The Alilo traditional Christmas procession has come to an end in Tbilisi. It started at 02:00 PM from the metropolitan area of Roses. It was attended by clergy, parishioners, children and the Magi.
Buffalo carried carts with gifts. Donkeys, miniature elephants, camels, giraffes and turtles also passed along streets of Tbilisi. They were congratulated by Tbilisi Mayor David Narmania and chairman of Sakrebulo Giorgi Alibegashvili together with the deputies near the building of the capital Municipal Assembly (Sakrebulo). The children were blessed by Patriarch of Georgia Ilia II at the gates of the Patriarchate. Members of the Georgian government and Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili welcomed the participants of the event. Some participants reached the residence of President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili. He and his wife also congratulated the children, Georgia Online reports.
