The Annual International Congress and Exhibition titled 'Hydropower Caspian And Central Asia' opened in Tbilisi.
The congress will discuss key topics to guide the course for hydropower construction and operation in the Caspian and Central Asia region.
High-profile speakers will discuss the changing role of hydropower in the energy mix and the benefits of interconnections beyond national borders. Participants will review initiatives and commitments and discuss action priorities.
The main speakers are the Director General of Joint Stock Company Telasi Sergey Kobtsev, the deputy chairman of the State Committee of Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic Azamat Omorov and the Hydroproject Director General Evgeny Bellendir.
Georgia's Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Romeo Mikautadze will also take part in the congress., Sputnik Georgia reported.
