Today, the new Ambassador of Austria to Georgia Arad Benko presented his credentials to the Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili. Benko became the first Austrian ambassador to Georgia with residence in Tbilisi, his predecessors worked from Baku.
After the ceremony the sides discussed the prospects of ratification of diplomatic relations, as well as the deepening of bilateral and multilateral relations, Sputnik Georgia reports.
The President of Georgia stressed the importance of opening the Austrian representative in Tbilisi. Benko, in turn, said about support to Georgia in the process of integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures and expressed his readiness to contribute to the development of bilateral relations.
