Tbilisi welcomes Moscow's decision not to impose sanctions on Georgia

Georgian ministers reacted positively to Russia's decision not to include Georgia among the countries against whose products to impose an embargo.

"For Georgia, the Russian market is no less important than for other countries, and any market is important to us, because, as you know, we started the development of agriculture a few years ago, so we need a stimulus," RIA Novosti quoted Agriculture Minister Otar Danelia as saying.

"We do not have the luxury to choose our own markets and places, where we are working and where we are not working. All opportunities should be used by Georgia. The fact is that the Russian market and the markets of the former Soviet Union are the most interesting," Minister of Finance Nodar Khaduri said.
