Tehran lowers freight costs for foreign tankers

Iran has temporarily suspended a 10% surcharge on freight costs for foreign tankers transporting oil and LNG to and from the country, Iranian media reported.

"Authorities have ordered the suspension of the 10% freight cost surcharge for foreign vessels importing and exporting oil and liquefied gas",

Fars news agency reported.

The move is expected to boost Iran's exports and imports while the suspension remains in effect
