An improvised explosive device believed to have been planted by Kurdish rebels has exploded on a road in Turkey’s southeastern Sirnak province, killing two people, according to Anadolu Agency.
The agency said that two security guards were martyred and two others were injured today in a PKK terror attack in Sirnak’s Silopi district, according to the security source who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
The source added that injured security guards were taken to Silopi State Hospital.
An operation was launched in the area to apprehend the terrorists.
