The wrestler from Azerbaijan Elvin Mursaliyev has won the first gold medal in his career at a competition of this level.
Speaking to a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, he said "of course, every athlete wants to win a gold medal, and I am very happy that I did it. This is the first gold medal of my career. Before this I won only a silver medal, he added.
‘‘The wins in the championship of Azerbaijan are not so important, we pay attention to the results of international competitions,’’ Mursaliyev noted.
The Azerbaijani athlete also spoke about his sports career.
Recall that today Elvin Mursaliyev won the gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in the weight category up to 75 kg, after defeating Viktor Nemes from Serbia with a score of 3-1.
