The Russian icon kept in the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris was not damaged by fire, the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church at the Council of Europe and the Father Superior of the Parish of All Saints in Strasbourg, Abbot Philip said.
He was informed about this by the Father Superior of Notre-Dame de Paris, Patrick Chauvet.
"This morning I received a very brief message from him:" The icon is not damaged,’’ Abbot Philip said.
