Today the terrorist group Daesh amounts to about 30 thousand militants on the territory of Syria and Iraq, a representative of the Western coalition, Stephen Warren, stated during a press conference in Baghdad. "From 20 thousand to 30 thousand militants," he specified.
Warren noted that in these countries, Daesh consists of both local groups and foreign recruits. "Local fighters get paid less, recieve less interesting tasks, while foreign forces are considered more elite units, they get paid more," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
