Vestnik Kavkaza has received exclusive and recent photos of the tomb of the great Azerbaijani poet Imadeddin Nasimi in ancient city of Aleppo.
As can be seen from the photographs, despite the years of fighting in the city, the tomb of Nasimi, also known as the 'Shrine of Nasimi,' has remained mostly undamaged.
The photos were provided by the director of the World Heritage Sites Management at the Directorate General of Antiquities and Museums (DGAM), Lina Kutiefan. She also confirmed that the tomb is in a good condition.
The year of 2019 was declared the Year of Nasimi in Azerbaijan. Many cultural events dedicated to the 650th anniversary of the legendary poet are taking place in the republic and abroad.
