Three members of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) were killed in clashes in the Iranian city of Piranshahr on Wednesday, Mehr news agency reported, citing a statement from the Revolutionary Guards.
According to the statement, the three died "in a fight with anti-revolutionary elements".
The statement did not say if the fight was related to the anti-government protests in Iran.
At least 22 people have died and 450 have been arrested following violent clashes in Iran as anti-government protests continue across the country since December 28, 2017.
